About Miss Hertfordshire

More than 2000 beautiful women will take part in local heats across England, competing in the hope of winning fantastic prizes and the chance of earning the Miss England 2017 crown. The winner of Miss England will go on to represent England at Miss World  and compete to win $100, 000 and the chance to travel around the globe!

Miss Hertfordshire 2017 will be intelligent, charitable, charming, graceful and confident and be a kind, caring person, able to communicate with people from all walks of life. Our winner will go directly through to the Miss England Finals.

With the ever increasing rate of girls following their dreams to become models, TV presenters, or actresses, we can provide the exposure and helping hand in making a start in the industries. Through taking part in the regional heats, contestants also gain the confidence and experience needed to go that one step further.

Gone are the days when beauty contests were about swimsuits and baton twirling, the new millennium of competitions are more about reaching out for those dreams and achieving them! Miss World is now the second most watched TV programme in the world, with 2.6 billion people tuning in over 140 countries.

Raising money for charity is a major part of Miss World and it all starts at the regional heats. Last year the Miss Hertfordshire event raised over £8000 for Beauty with a Purpose, the Miss World Charity founded by Julia Morley the CEO of Miss World. All money raised in this country is spent here with donations going to local charities.
In 12 years the Hertfordshire heat has raised over £60,000 .
